Reports reaching Somalia Report on Monday evening indicate that the Bolivian flagged EGLANTINE is no longer under pirate's control.

Military sources told Somalia Report that Iranian commandos stormed the bulker today.

The sources further said that commandos boarded the 63,400dwt, Iranian-owned EGLANTINE and she is now sailing towards the Omani port of Salalah.

EGLANTINE was seized 305nautical miles northwest of the Maldivian capital of Male in the early hours of 26 March with a cargo of sugar that had been loaded in Brazil.

The 12 years old bulker is owned by Andulena Corp of Teheran while her registered manager is the Tehran based Rahbaran Omid Darya.

The condition of the 23 crew members of the vessel is not yet known.

On Sunday she was observed in a position of 1000 north-05503 east close to a brown colored dhow known to have been involved in her hijacking.
