Four Murder Suspects Nabbed Over Shooting
Arrests In Connection With Killing of NGO Worker
Police in the semi-autonomous state of Puntland on Saturday arrested four murder suspects in connection with the Friday's killing of a local worker with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).
Sources said the suspects were being held over the murder of Ahmed Jamac Mohamed, who was a local employee of the Norwegian Refugee Council.
The deceased was shot and killed late on Friday by unidentified gunmen in Galkayo.
Locals confirmed to Somalia Report that the police seized the four suspected criminals on Saturday morning following a swoop.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Galkayo district, Said Abdi Farah, has sent a message of condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the fallen official.
"We are investigating those behind the murder," he said.
